SOCA report on human trafficking in Great Britain

In August 2013 the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) in Great Britain published the report entitled: ‘UKHTC: A Strategic Assessment on the Nature and Scale of Human Trafficking in 2012’, exploring the number of potential victims of trafficking identified, their country of origin and exploitation types. According to the given assessment, Poland is on the second place among the 78 recorded countries of origin.

Autumn film festival on human trafficking to forced labour

On Saturday 7th September 2013 the autumn film festival on human trafficking to forced labour is going to start in the Southern Poland. The purpose of the event is to present the practice of this crime as a contemporary form of slavery through the film medium. Meetings, discussions and movie shows are predicted to shape young people’s awareness on this issues.

Judiciciary system in the Netherlands

On 19th June 2013 The National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children of the Netherlands published an English version of her study on recent case law in the country relating to human trafficking cases. Over 400 judgments on human trafficking in sex industry and other forms of exploitation form years 2009-2012 had been studied.
